Asking degree with 多

Structure 多 + adjective (大/高/远/长…)

多 (duō) before an adjective asks "how…": 多大 ("how old / big?"), 多高 ("how tall?"), 多远 ("how far?"), 多长 ("how long?"). It’s the way to ask about a measurement or degree.

Examples

你nǐ今jīn年nián多duō大dà？
How old are you?
学xué校xiào离lí你nǐ家jiā多duō远yuǎn？
How far is the school from your home?
你nǐ有yǒu多duō高gāo？
How tall are you?
