How (in what way) with 怎么

Structure 怎么 + Verb

怎么 (zěnme) asks "how?", in what way something is done: 这个字怎么写？ = "how do you write this character?". It goes before the verb. Don’t confuse it with 怎么样 (which asks for an opinion): 怎么 is about the METHOD.
