Privacy

Wanyu collects none of your data. Not a byte. There are no accounts, no cloud, no servers of ours. This page explains it plainly; it's also the privacy policy the App Store and Google Play require.

What we collect

Nothing. There's no sign-up and no accounts: we never ask for your email, name or phone number. We build no profile of you. We have no way of knowing who you are or what you study.

Where your data lives

On your device, and only there. Your study progress, your decks, your notes and your settings are stored in the app's local storage (on the web, the browser's database; on mobile, the app's own storage). There's no copy in the cloud because there is no cloud: no Wanyu server holds your data.

What leaves your device

Nothing that identifies you. The whole app works offline. Two honest caveats:

No ads, no trackers

No ads, no tracking pixels, no third-party cookies, no analytics SDKs inside the app. This website doesn't track you either: no cookies, no analytics, no banner to accept.

Your data is yours, and portable

You can export all your content to a JSON file whenever you want, and import it on another device. Deleting the app (or clearing the browser's data) deletes your data; since there's no cloud, no copy remains anywhere.

Children

The app collects no personal data from anyone, children included. There are no profiles and no tracking at any age.

Changes to this policy

If any of this changes, it's updated here, with the date. With no accounts and no emails, we can't notify you by message: the current version is always the one on this page.
