Structure 怪不得 + (what now makes sense)

怪不得 (guàibude) expresses that, once you know the reason, something stops being surprising: "no wonder…". 下雪了,怪不得这么冷 = "it snowed; no wonder it’s so cold". It usually follows learning the cause, heading the now-understood result.

    No wonder he’s upset.

    It snowed—no wonder it’s so cold.

    No wonder I couldn’t find it—it was here.
