Structure 怪不得 + (what now makes sense)

怪不得 (guàibude) expresses that, once you know the reason, something stops being surprising: "no wonder…". 下雪了，怪不得这么冷 = "it snowed; no wonder it’s so cold". It usually follows learning the cause, heading the now-understood result.

Examples

怪guài不bù得de他tā不bù高gāo兴xìng。
No wonder he’s upset.
下xià雪xuě了le，怪guài不bù得de这zhè么me冷lěng。
It snowed—no wonder it’s so cold.
怪guài不bù得de找zhǎo不bù到dào，原yuán来lái在zài这zhè儿r。
