The complete HSK 3.0 library, with audio
Wanyu ships the full HSK 3.0 — levels 1 through 9 — with audio on every word and every example sentence, glosses in English and Spanish, and pinyin colored by tone. It’s the library you want when you’re looking for a real “HSK 3.0 app”: the whole standard, ordered and speaking, with no filler.
Does it cover the whole HSK 3.0?
Yes. That’s 11,323 cards covering the 11,092 words of the official standard (GF 0025-2021), levels 1 to 9, including the advanced 7–9 band. There are more cards than words on purpose: when a word has more than one reading, it’s split into one card per reading, so pinyin, audio and meaning never get tangled. Nothing is trimmed “for the demo” — the list is the complete list.
You can browse the official lists (hanzi and pinyin) for free, with nothing to install, in the HSK hub on this site. Inside the app, every word becomes a rich card.
What’s on each card?
- Audio for the word and for every example sentence, pre-generated and available offline: not runtime text-to-speech, but a file that always sounds the same.
- Glosses in English and Spanish, with a toggle to show or hide each language as you like.
- Tone-colored pinyin, always visible — the color lives on the pinyin, never on the character itself.
- Its HSK 3.0 level and, when the word was also in HSK 2.0, that 2.0 tag alongside.
What about the HSK 2.0 tag?
The two systems’ levels do not map onto each other: the old “level 3” is 600 words, the new one is 2,245 cumulative. That’s why Wanyu shows both tags together and never converts levels “by eye”. If you want the why, with the real numbers for both standards and the state of the exam, we lay it out in the guide HSK 3.0 vs HSK 2.0.
What’s free, and what’s in the one-time purchase?
HSK 1–2 with curated glosses is free forever. The curated HSK 3–6 vocabulary and the advanced 7–9 band are part of the one-time €24.99 purchase — no subscription, ever. And some content is free in full:
| Content | Free forever | One-time · €24.99 |
|---|---|---|
| Curated HSK vocabulary | Levels 1–2 | Levels 3–6 + 7–9 band |
| Official lists (hanzi + pinyin) | Open on the web, 1–9 | — |
| Grammar points | All 371 (HSK 1–6) | — |
| Chengyu (idioms) | All 140 | — |
The library doesn’t stand alone: it wires into the rest of the app. What you study, you review with FSRS spaced repetition, what you read in the Chinese reader leans on these cards, and all of it is a one-time purchase, no subscription.
The limits, no smoke
- 3.0 still coexists with 2.0. Many exams are still based on the old lists; that’s why we show both tags and never cross them. Before you register, confirm which version you’ll sit — we explain it in the guide to the two standards.
- The purchase is per store. Each store (App Store, Google Play) handles its own payment; with no accounts, iOS and Android don’t cross. Your data does travel with you: it exports and imports as a JSON file.
- No cloud, no accounts. The library works entirely offline, with all its pre-generated audio stored on the device.
Frequently asked questions
Does the library cover the whole HSK 3.0?
Yes: 11,323 cards covering the 11,092 words of the official standard GF 0025-2021, levels 1 to 9, including the advanced 7–9 band. There are more cards than words because words with several readings are split into one card per reading.
Is the HSK 2.0 tag shown too?
Yes. When a word was also in HSK 2.0, that tag is shown alongside the 3.0 level. The two systems’ levels don’t map onto each other, so we never convert them by eye.
Which part of the library is free?
HSK 1–2 vocabulary with curated glosses is free forever, as are all 371 grammar points and all 140 chengyu. Curated HSK 3–6 and the 7–9 band are in the one-time €24.99 purchase.
Is the audio real?
Yes: every word and every example sentence has pre-generated audio, in one consistent voice, that plays offline. It’s not runtime system text-to-speech, it’s a file.
