HSK 2 Complements

动词 + 完/到/见…

Result complement

Structure Verb + result (完 · 到 · 见 · 好)

Attached to the verb, a second element states the RESULT of the action: 吃完 ("finish eating"), 看见 ("manage to see"), 听到 ("manage to hear"), 做好 ("get done"). The verb gives the action and the complement says whether it succeeded. Negate with 没: 我没吃完 ("I didn’t finish eating").

Examples

  • chīwánle

    I’ve finished eating.

  • kànjiànle

    I saw him.

  • zuòháiméizuòwán

I haven’t finished the homework yet.

Levels are indicative: they follow the standard Chinese Grammar Wiki (AllSet Learning) progression, not an official HSK 3.0 mapping. We never assign levels by eye.
