Both… and… (又…又…)

Structure 又 + quality 1 + 又 + quality 2

又…又… (yòu… yòu…) puts together two qualities or actions present at once in the same thing: 这个菜又便宜又好吃 = "this dish is both cheap AND tasty". Each 又 goes before an adjective or verb. It usually adds traits of the same sign (both good or both bad).

Examples

这zhè个ge菜cài又yòu便pián宜yi又yòu好hǎo吃chī。
This dish is both cheap and tasty.
他tā又yòu高gāo又yòu帅shuài。
He’s both tall and handsome.
我wǒ又yòu累lèi又yòu饿è。
I’m both tired and hungry.
