In short with 总之

Structure … ，总之 + conclusion

总之 (zǒngzhī) wraps up and sums up what’s been said: "in short, in a word, anyway". 总之，这是个好消息 = "in short, it’s good news". It goes at the start of the closing clause and gathers the main point of everything before.

Examples

总zǒng之zhī，这zhè是shì个ge好hǎo消xiāo息xi。
In short, it’s good news.
总zǒng之zhī，我wǒ不bù同tóng意yì。
In short, I disagree.
不bù管guǎn怎zěn么me说shuō，总zǒng之zhī要yào努nǔ力lì。
Whatever you say, in short you have to work hard.
