Structure 始终 + verb (constant from the start)

始终 (shǐzhōng, literally "start-end") says something stayed the same throughout a whole stretch of time, from beginning to end: 这些年她始终支持我 = "all these years she has supported me without fail". With negation: 他始终没有放弃 = "he never gave up at any point". It’s more formal than 一直 and stresses constancy over time.

Examples

他tā始shǐ终zhōng没méi有yǒu放fàng弃qì。
He never gave up at any point.
这zhè些xiē年nián她tā始shǐ终zhōng支zhī持chí我wǒ。
All these years she has supported me without fail.
我wǒ始shǐ终zhōng相xiāng信xìn他tā是shì对duì的de。
I’ve believed all along that he’s right.
