Structure 在 + topic + 方面，assessment

在…方面 (zài… fāngmiàn) narrows down the ASPECT or field being discussed: "in terms of…, in the area of…". 在学习方面，他很努力 = "when it comes to studying, he works hard". It’s used to focus the sentence on a specific facet (学习, 工作, 音乐, 经济…) before assessing it.

Examples

在zài学xué习xí方fāng面miàn，他tā很hěn努nǔ力lì。
When it comes to studying, he works hard.
在zài这zhè方fāng面miàn，我wǒ没méi有yǒu经jīng验yàn。
In this area I have no experience.
他tā在zài音yīn乐yuè方fāng面miàn很hěn有yǒu天tiān分fèn。
He has a lot of talent in music.
