Structure 从 + start + 到 + end

从…到… (cóng… dào…) marks the start and end of a route or a period: 从家到学校 ("from home to school"), 从八点到十点 ("from eight to ten"). 从 opens (the starting place or time) and 到 closes (the destination or end). It comes before the verb.

Examples

我wǒ从cóng八bā点diǎn到dào十shí点diǎn上shàng课kè。
I have class from eight to ten.
他tā从cóng北běi京jīng到dào上shàng海hǎi。
He goes from Beijing to Shanghai.
从cóng这zhè里lǐ到dào机jī场chǎng很hěn远yuǎn。
It’s far from here to the airport.
