HSK 3 Particles
的 / 地 / 得
The three "de": 的, 地, 得
Structure 的 + noun · 地 + verb · verb + 得
Three particles sound like "de" but do different jobs. 的 goes before a NOUN (我的书, 红色的衣服). 地 goes before a VERB, turning something into a manner (高兴地说 = "say happily"). 得 goes AFTER the verb and introduces how it turned out (说得很好 = "speaks very well"). Tip: 的+noun, 地+verb, verb+得.
Examples
