HSK 4 Adverbs

不见得

Not necessarily with 不见得

Structure 不见得 + (statement)

不见得 (bùjiànde) negates cautiously: "not necessarily, it’s not certain that". 贵的不见得好 = "expensive doesn’t necessarily mean good". It pushes back on a taken-for-granted idea without fully denying it. It’s softer than a flat "no".

Examples

  • guìdejiàndehǎo

    Expensive isn’t necessarily good.

  • jiàndehuìlái

    He won’t necessarily come.

  • zhègebànjiàndeyǒuyòng

    This method isn’t necessarily useful.

Levels are indicative: they follow the standard Chinese Grammar Wiki (AllSet Learning) progression, not an official HSK 3.0 mapping. We never assign levels by eye.
