Thanks to (luckily) with 多亏

Structure 多亏 + (fortunate cause)，…

多亏 (duōkuī) gives thanks for help or luck that prevented a bad outcome: "thanks to…, luckily…". 多亏你帮忙 = "good thing you helped". It stresses that, without it, things would have gone wrong. It goes at the start. Relative: 幸亏 ("fortunately").

Examples

多duō亏kuī你nǐ帮bāng忙máng。
Thanks to your help.
多duō亏kuī来lái得de早zǎo，不bù然rán没méi座zuò位wèi了le。
Good thing we came early, or there’d be no seats.
这zhè次cì多duō亏kuī了le你nǐ。
This time it was thanks to you.
