Be willing to with 愿意

Structure Subject + 愿意 + Verb

愿意 (yuànyì) expresses WILLINGNESS to do something: "be willing to, be glad to". 我愿意帮助你 = "I’m willing to help you". It’s more than a simple wish (想): it implies acceptance or consent. Negate with 不愿意.

Examples

我wǒ愿yuàn意yì帮bāng助zhù你nǐ。
I’m willing to help you.
他tā不bù愿yuàn意yì去qù。
He’s not willing to go.
你nǐ愿yuàn意yì跟gēn我wǒ结jié婚hūn吗ma？
Will you marry me?
