As / along with (随着)

Structure 随着 + gradual change，consequence

随着 (suízhe) introduces a gradual change and says something else changes IN STEP with it: "as…, along with…". 随着时间的推移，他慢慢好了 = "as time went by, he slowly recovered". It comes at the start, usually takes 的 (随着…的发展/增长/提高), and pairs nicely with 越来越 or 逐渐 in the second clause.

Examples

随suí着zhe时shí间jiān的de推tuī移yí，他tā慢màn慢màn好hǎo了le。
As time went by, he slowly recovered.
随suí着zhe年nián龄líng的de增zēng长zhǎng，他tā越yuè来lái越yuè成chéng熟shú。
As he gets older, he becomes more and more mature.
随suí着zhe经jīng济jì的de发fā展zhǎn，生shēng活huó越yuè来lái越yuè好hǎo。
As the economy develops, life keeps getting better.
