HSK 5 Connectors & compound sentences

要么 … 要么 …

Either… or… (要么…要么…)

Structure 要么 + A,要么 + B

要么…要么… (yàome… yàome…) lays out two options to choose between: "either A or B". 要么去看电影,要么去公园 = "we’ll either go to the movies or to the park". It’s very colloquial; it resembles 不是…就是…, but that one states a fact ("it’s always one of the two") while 要么…要么… offers a choice.
