Aimed at / in response to (针对)

Structure 针对 + problem/person/target + action

针对 (zhēnduì) means "to aim at, be directed at, do something in response to" a specific problem, person or goal: 这个方法针对初学者 = "this method is aimed at beginners"; 老师针对我的问题做了解释 = "the teacher explained things in response to my question". It stresses that the action is precisely focused on that target.

Examples

这zhè个ge方fāng法fǎ针zhēn对duì初chū学xué者zhě。
This method is aimed at beginners.
老lǎo师shī针zhēn对duì我wǒ的de问wèn题tí做zuò了le解jiě释shì。
The teacher gave an explanation addressing my question.
这zhè次cì会huì议yì针zhēn对duì环huán境jìng问wèn题tí展zhǎn开kāi讨tǎo论lùn。
This meeting opened a discussion focused on the environmental issue.
