No matter… with 不管…都…

Structure 不管 + variable，都 + result

不管…都… (bùguǎn… dōu…) is the COLLOQUIAL version of 无论…都…: the result holds whatever the variable. 不管多难，我都要试试 = "no matter how hard, I’ll try". After 不管 comes something open (a question word or A 还是 B / A-not-A); 都 (or 也) closes. In speech it’s more common than 无论.

Examples

不bù管guǎn多duō难nán，我wǒ都dōu要yào试shì试shi。
No matter how hard, I’ll give it a try.
不bù管guǎn你nǐ信xìn不bù信xìn，这zhè是shì真zhēn的de。
Whether you believe it or not, it’s true.
不bù管guǎn天tiān气qì怎zěn么me样yàng，我wǒ们men都dōu去qù。
No matter the weather, we’re going.
