As much as possible (尽量)

Structure 尽量 + verb (do as much as possible)

尽量 (jǐnliàng) means "to do something to the greatest extent possible", as far as one can: 我会尽量早点到 = "I’ll get there as early as I can". It goes before the verb and marks an effort or intention, without guaranteeing the result 100%. Very handy for reasonable promises or polite requests (请尽量…).

Examples

我wǒ会huì尽jǐn量liàng早zǎo点diǎn到dào。
I’ll get there as early as I can.
请qǐng尽jǐn量liàng说shuō得de慢màn一yī点diǎn。
Please try to speak a bit more slowly.
工gōng作zuò再zài忙máng，也yě要yào尽jǐn量liàng休xiū息xi。
However busy you are, rest as much as you can.
