Besides / as for (connector 另外/至于)

另外 (lìng wài) and 至于 (zhì yú) structure discourse at the start of a sentence or paragraph. 另外 adds a separate point, distinct from what came before: "besides, moreover". 至于 shifts topic and picks it up as a new matter: "as for, as regards", often deferring or relativizing that point (至于细节，下次再谈 = "as for the details, we'll talk another time"). They are transition connectors of cultured register, common in essays and formal speech; 至于 is always followed by the topic it reintroduces.

Examples

结jié论lùn已yǐ经jīng很hěn明míng确què；至zhì于yú细xì节jié，我wǒ们men下xià次cì再zài谈tán。
The conclusion is already clear; as for the details, we'll discuss them next time.
这zhè个ge方fāng案àn成chéng本běn太tài高gāo；另lìng外wài，时shí间jiān也yě来lái不bù及jí。
This plan costs too much; besides, there isn't enough time either.
至zhì于yú谁shéi来lái负fù责zé，目mù前qián还hái没méi有yǒu定dìng论lùn。
